South South Dialogue Land Use Planning

The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Lands and Resettlement (MLR) and the Technical Cooperation Program “Support to Land Reform” in cooperation with the Sector Project “Land Policy and Land Management” and financed by the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). During the 20. - 24. June it brought together practitioners and policy makers from Africa, Asia and for tlile first time from Latin America who are active in the fields of land policy, land management, agricultural development and land use planning in Windhoek, Namibia. National partners supported by development programs and representatives of donor partners entered into a professional dialogue. The links between land use planning, land governance and land policies in the context of increased scarcity of fertile land and other natural resources were clarified.
Find presentations on pressuring land issues from Namibia, Chile, the Philippines, Cambodia, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Nepal, Laos, Vielnam, Kenya and Mongolia, as well as the documentation of results of discussions and other documents.
