Dear friends,

Released today, the 2013 Forest Peoples Programme Annual Report, presents activities from all areas of our work over the last year, also marking our first year with Joji Cariño as Director.

In her opening message of the report Joji writes: "By putting on the lens of self-determination as the goal and the approach, we can take heart and join in solidarity with the many actions taken by forest peoples at community, national and global scales which are making a world of difference."

This succinct report of our activities and impact in 2013 ensures that FPP's work is accessible and visible to our partners and supporters, as well as fulfilling the requirements of the law and reporting to our donors. We do hope that you find it informative and interesting. Please let us know if you have any comments.

Mission

Forest Peoples Programme supports the rights of peoples who live in forests and depend on them for their livelihoods. We work to create political space for forest peoples to secure rights, control their lands and decide their own futures.
