L'Initiative Équateur, sous l'égide du Programme des Nations Unies pour le développement (PNUD), lance un appel mondial à candidature pour les nominations au Prix Équateur 2024. Les nominations sont ouvertes jusqu'au 26 février 2024.

Celebramos la 80º cartera de país del Land Portal -- Iraq -- así como las 79 que la respaldan. Esta rica colección representa siete años de trabajo y refuerza el compromiso del Land Portal de hacer que la información sobre la tierra sea abierta y accesible. Publicamos perfiles en inglés, francés, español y portugués, y recientemente hemos añadido el árabe para satisfacer las necesidades de los usuarios de la región árabe.
 

Los 80 países de nuestro compendio constituyen una historia sobre la tierra que alberga al 73% de la población mundial. Los perfiles de los países del Land Portal son una de las mejores puertas de entrada para comprender la gobernanza de la tierra en un país determinado. Estas completas guías, rigurosamente investigadas, escritas y revisadas por expertos, abordan la historia, la política y la cultura, y están dirigidas tanto a expertos como a lectores ocasionales. 

A medida que el Land Portal desarrolla el Índice del Estado de la Información sobre la Tierra (SOLIndex), estos perfiles proporcionarán un contexto importante para comprender la puntuación de los países. Aclaran qué papel desempeña la tierra en la economía, la política, la cultura y el medio ambiente.

Our Purpose


The Samdhana Institute works to:


  • Offer opportunities as well as support for individuals and groups to remove themselves from their immediate environment and reflect upon and communicate their experience and ideas.
  • Enhance and enrich understanding of innovative approaches to sustainable resource management and broaden options for local communities.

Asian Rural Women's Coalition (ARWC)

Borne of the women's continued resistance against imperialist globalization was the Asian Rural Women's Regional Consultation held in the Philippines in 2007 (of 52 Asian women from 14 countries) followed by the Asian Rural Women's Conference in 2008 held in Arakkonam, Tamil Nadu, India.

The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) is an independent, non-governmental body, which seeks to promote greater awareness and realisation of human rights in the Asian region, and to mobilise Asian and international public opinion to obtain relief and redress for the victims of human rights violations. It was founded in 1986 by a prominent group of jurists and human rights activists in Asia and serves to promote civil and political rights, as well as economic, social and cultural rights.

The Asia Indigenous Peoples Pact (AIPP) is a regional organization founded in 1988 by indigenous peoples' movements. AIPP is committed to the cause of promoting and defending indigenous peoples' rights and human rights and articulating issues of relevance to indigenous peoples. At present, AIPP has 47 members from 14 countries in Asia with 14 National Formations, 15 Sub-national Formations and 18 Local Formations. Of this number, 6 are Indigenous Women's Organizations and 4 are Indigenous Youth Organizations.

Asian Journal of Comparative Law

The Asian Journal of Comparative Law (AsJCL) is the leading forum for research and discussion of the law and legal systems of Asia. It embraces work that is theoretical, empirical, socio-legal, doctrinal or comparative that relates to one or more Asian legal systems, as well as work that compares one or more Asian legal systems with non-Asian systems. The Journal seeks articles which display an intimate knowledge of Asian legal systems, and thus provide a window into the way they work in practice.

Strengthening the capacities of farmers’ organizations to deliver better, improved, and inclusive services to their members

Austrian Development Agency GmbH (ADA) is the operational unit of Austrian Development Cooperation. On behalf of the Federal Government, it plans, finances and supports development programmes and projects in the countries of Africa, Asia, South-Eastern and Eastern Europe and the Caribbean. The goal of ADA is to improve conditions of life in developing countries and assist partner countries in their sustainable development. It also promotes projects in development communication and education in Austria to advance discussion on development cooperation.

The Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES) was established in March 1998 under an initiative of the Japanese government and with the support of Kanagawa Prefecture based on the “Charter for the Establishment of the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies”. The aim of the Institute is to achieve a new paradigm for civilization and conduct innovative policy development and strategic research for environmental measures, reflecting the results of research into political decisions for realising sustainable development both in the Asia-Pacific region and globally.
