Is right to land for shelter a human right? - open until December 21st

One of the unique aspects of the National Land Reform Agenda currently being pursued by the Central Government of India (viz Ministries of Rural Development and Tribal Affairs) is the right to land for shelter. This evolved as a part of what is being seen as a second round of land reforms in India yet-to-be realized in the coming years.

Estimados colegas:

Después de un largo y provechoso proceso de consultación, en mayo de 2012 el Comité de Seguridad Alimentaria Mundial (CFS por su sigla en inglés) aprobó las Directrices Voluntarias sobre la Gobernanza Responsable de la Tenencia de la Tierra, la Pesca y los Bosques en el Contexto de la Seguridad Alimentaria Nacional.

Après un long et fructueux processus de consultation, les Directives volontaires pour une gouvernance responsable des régimes fonciers applicables aux terres, aux pêches et aux forêts dans le contexte de la sécurité alimentaire nationale ont été approuvées en mai 2012 par le Comité à la Sécurité Alimentaire (CSA).

After a long and very fruitful consultation process, in May 2012 the Voluntary Guidelines on Responsible Governance of Tenure of Land, Fisheries and Forests in the Context of National Food Security (VGs) have been approved by the Committee on World Food Security (CFS).
